Vintage 1930s Tropical Floral Print Short Sleeve Zip Front Rayon Maxi Hostess Gown, Small

Stunning 1930s (or early 40s) rayon Summer hostess gown/robe/dressing gown in a magnificent tropical floral print. Other names for this type of garment include house dress, lounge dress and house coat. Could absolutely be worn outside of the house today! 

• short sleeves with padding inserts to slightly puff shoulders 
• metal Talon zipper at centre front (not extending to hem) 
• snap fasteners at waist 
• slightly longer length at rear
• revere collar 
• A-line maxi length 
• belt loops at either side of waist 
• unlined

CONDITION: Fair. Scattered stains (we have not attempted removal). A small hole at the back, which has been patch repaired. The frayed raw edge of the centre back skirt seam is poking through in a 1 cm section. It look like an adjustment was made to this seam by hand.
